Not everyone wants to go under the knife. So filler can be used to fill around the bump and camouflage its appearance. The results last on average up to 12-18 months. A touch-up would be required to maintain results.
Complications with Russian Filling treatment or any fillers are rare when performed by an experienced and professional registered nurse. However, every medical procedure carries the possibility of risks and side effects, such as:
*Swelling can last 2 weeks * Bruising (lasts approximately 2 weeks)
*Discoloration and tenderness * Bleeding at injection site *Skin irritation
*Cold sore reactivation (consult with your nurse before treatment if you frequently develop cold sores)

During the first few days, your lips may look asymmetric and abnormally huge due to swelling. Remember that this is normal and will go away once the swelling goes down.
The possible complications after fat dissolving treatment include:
*Pain that persists for several days or weeks.*It is rare (less than 2 in 100,000) that an allergic reaction will require immediate medical attention.
